An Insightful Read Of A Woman’s Perspective On Cheating
I could not make this up
I have just come across the story linked below and I have to say I was impressed with the writer’s insight. She hit the nail right on the head.
What struck me was that very first paragraph…
“ Some people want to have their cake and eat it. They want their cake and eat their neighbour’s cake too, despite their spouse owning a bakery. It’s this exactly. They want someone else but don’t want to risk ending up alone entirely.”
That was exactly my first ex-wife’s problem, a fear of ending up alone. And the reason I knew that was because I listened in to her telephone conversations with her sister and one or two others, such as her lover and her accomplice cum best friend.
When her sister asked her why she did not just leave me she replied “I might end up alone.”
Now I do not know if that is a female thing more than a male one, though I suspect it is. I get the impression lots of women feel the need to be desirable because that is what they have become programmed to believe by society that that is what is the most important thing for a woman.
And I have equally got my suspicions that that idea is mostly planted by the male hierarchy. It is mostly men who run the…
