Carol, I lived in Spain for the best part of twenty five years. The Spanish presume that all English people are rich and will inflate the price. Worse still, these days the place is full of beggars and thieves who target English tourists in ther belief that since you are rich you deserve all of their unwanted attention. I have left the place for good and dont get treated bad at all by the Japanese. Very honest and sincere people.

A sign of how bad things are in Spain, even amongst themselves, every building, businesses and houses have barred windows. Alarms don't work. Even then I have seen the thieving swines saw through bars in broad daylight! They are shameless.
