Hi there. Well we have previously had some contact on this matter that you discuss here, so I did some research. Here is what I found in Wikipedia.
'In 1955, the Aberbachs were responsible for setting up an unprecedented arrangement in which the publishing rights to all songs recorded by emerging star performer Elvis Presley were split 50:50 between the Hill & Range company and Presley and his management.'
From that we could deduce that in fact Elvis did indeed gain from Arthur Crudup's royalties if he was getting 50 percent of them from Hill Range.
What's more, by making a legal settlement Hill Range confirmed that money was owed to Arthur Crudup.
