Houston, We Have A Problem
A technical hitch that has got me totally screwed
To my fellow readers, writers and editors who may be wondering where I have suddenly disappeared to, please allow me to explain what the cause is and how it has been driving me totally bonkers this last week or so.
About a week ago I got an alert from Microsoft stating that somebody in Nigeria had been trying to get into my email account and as a security measure the account had been suspended. All I had to do was apply to have the account re-instated and all would be well in a matter of 24 hours. Errr, no, not quite.
When I applied the get access to my account I was asked for things like my fave pet's name. Jeez, I cannot remember if I included that information when I first opened the account sixteen years ago. Pass.
Then I was asked for three email addresses and the subject of my last email to each of those people. Crikes, are they for real? The only place I have that information is inside the account they won't allow me access to.
Then, to make matters worse, my linked Skype account also got suspended. Now this Skype account is not just for staying in touch with loved ones, it is also used for online teaching purposes and other delicate financial matters. It is human to err, it takes a giant multi-billion dollar…
