If you re-read the story perhaps you will see that right at the beginning I did say that I was responding to a female version ‘why women are turning away from men'. It never ceases to amaze me that women give themslves permission to speak out all they like, but let a single lone male voice dare to speak out and comment on growing trends, men and women turning away from each other, he is likely to come in for a lot of flak and get accused of BS or woman hating or being a bitter old man. How come women can talk about men but men can’t, because that is how it feels ? I am blissfully happy with my present wife, not bitter, not BS, not woman hating, just observing. I only mentioned my own situation to authenticate that from a male perspective I do know what goes down. Anyway, I am sure you are well meaning, but please, don’t try to teach grand pa how to suck eggs. Have a super nice day. Oh and this much drama took place over a period of thirty years but was distilled into a few hundred words. So yes, it is perfectly normal. Oh, and please don’t be sorry for me, not needed, I am delighted because through that adversity I grew to become the well balanced, blissfully happy person that I am.
