Signs Of Recovery and Happiness
This morning I got up early to visit the bathroom and have a glass of water. I decided to fire up my computer only to see the story below by a follower and good friend Floyd on Illumination.
Then I got to thinking about all of the projects I am working on and asked myself if I was perhaps spreading myself too thin. At present, I am writing on Medium, Substack, The Opus Connection and Behiiv. The other side of the coin is that in order to succeed one has to cast the net wide to increase the possibility of catching some fish. Yes, it is a lot of work, but one has to be prepared to step out of one's comfort zone. The day may come when I am incapable of keeping so many plates spinning all at the same time.
Here is a round-up of where I am up to. I am still very active on Medium as a writer and Senior Editor on Illumination. I am happy to report that I am seeing an improvement over last month when I earned the princely sum of just over $29. This month so far I am at $71.63. This figure is no doubt due to at least one story (below) which has taken off nicely and I am hopeful that this upward trajectory will continue. However, it is till a long way from the hundreds a month I previously earned.
Meanwhile, I am now spending a great deal of time on Substack which I monetised only two days ago. It is early days yet so no earnings at all to speak of. However, I am confident that too will come good in its own sweet time.
I have also only just monetised my own platform, The Opus Connection, which is also not showing any income so far. Again, I am confident of the platform’s future.
Finally, more as a testing of the water, I have just started on Beehiiv which is free and shall remain so until I see sufficient indications that it is worth monetising.
And then there are my self-published books on Amazon KDP. That has shown some modest earnings to date, but I need to put more effort into promotion to see something worthwhile to write about here.
Earnings aside, all of this online activity, which is being promoted on Facebook, X (Twitter) Quora, Instagram and LinkedIn, all of which is excellent for widening my exposure where it matters. Hopefully, that should in the long run help all of my hard work to come to some sort of financial fruition.
So, some signs of recovery on Medium, and a great deal of hope on other platforms, give me the energy to continue along this path, to a destination called success, of one sort or another.
