This made for a very interesting read for me, for personal reasons. In 2021 I fractured my left hip and thigh bone after a horrible cycling accident. Fortunately I made an excellent full recovery without the need for any invasive surgery, just with a three month rehabilitation program of treatment consisting of only speialised exercises. When I came out of rehab hospital I went to the general hospital and they insisted on a bone density scan in case of the onset of osteoporosis. Thankfully I was told that for my age group (70 years young next year) my bone density was up at the best end of the scale. I think it may be a good idea for the more senior readers among us to have that scan as a matter of routine, to head off at the pass any potential future problems.
